We love when we find a relatively cheap beginner RC airplane. Cheap in terms of this is a ready to fly set up with everything you need in the box for around $120, while most RC plane set up cost upwards of $600 when it comes to the plane, hobby grade radio, battery, and a charger. Arrows RC has been putting out some great RC planes lately, especially their RTF lineup of aircraft. This is the Arrows Hawkeye. It is a 600mm ready to fly RC plane aimed at newcomers to the hobby. This would make the perfect Christmas gift for someone you know that has always wanted to get into RC!
Getting into the RC flight hobby is often VERY intimidating due to the fear of crashing. With the Arrows Hawkeye durable setup and price point, crashing shouldn’t be something to be majorly worried about. With the motor and prop mounted in the rear of the RC, it is protected during a nose dive impact. The EPP foam is also extremely flexible and forgiving.
Because of it’s durable tendencies, we will be keeping this RC airplane around for quite sometime. Obviously flying this beginner RC craft isn’t very difficult for either of us, but we love keeping this type of durable plane around in case we have a friend that wants to try. This is a perfect RC plane to hand to anyone, give minimal training about the controls, and then let them try to fly. In this hobby, the more the merrier, so we always keep RCs as durable as this one handy.
